Enable AI Image SEO #
When enabled, this option will enable the AI Image SEO functionality and display the options throughout ShortPixel Image Optimizer, including the ‘AI Image SEO by ShortPixel’ button when you click on any image in your Media Library.
Generate image SEO data on upload #
When enabled, AI will generate Image SEO data for new images you upload based on your chosen settings.
Generate image SEO data when running Bulk Processing #
When enabled, AI will generate Image SEO data for all the images queued during the bulk processing/bulk optimization process based on your chosen settings.
Preserve existing Image SEO data #
When enabled, all existing ALT tags, captions and descriptions are retained. Disabling the switch means that AI SEO data will be generated will overwrite the existing data.
Fixed prefix/suffix for Image SEO data #
When enabled, these options will allow you to set a fixed prefix or/and suffix for your image SEO data. These will be added before and after each data generated via the AI Image SEO feature.
Example: If the generated data is “Amazing flower blooming in the spring” and the prefix is “Wow:” and the suffix is “- 2026”, the end result will be “Wow: Amazing flower blooming in the spring – 2026”
Use parent Post / Page title for image SEO data #
When enabled, the title of the image’s parent post or page will be sent to the AI model to improve the accuracy of image SEO results.

Q: Are AI Alt Descriptions generated automatically or do you have to upload images manually?
A: The AI Image SEO can be generated automatically when you upload images or you can do this operation in bulk for all your existing images. This can also be done individually per image if you choose to!
Q: Will the AI Alt Descriptions remain if I cancel the unlimited plan, or will they revert back?
A: The AI Image SEO data will remain even if you cancel your plan or disable our plugin.
Q: Does the AI Image SEO feature support multiple languages?
A: Yes, the AI Image SEO supports multiple languages and you can choose the specific language from our plugin’s settings.
